Based on a George III armchair with rectangular padded back and seat, inlaid with panels of black and scarlet lacquer on the back, arms and seat rail. The down-curved arms are inlaid with key patterns, acanthus leaves and guilloches, with inlaid fluting on the square tapering legs.
