The original model for this reproduction breakfront is a George II bookcase, mid-18th C. The breakfront features a ribbed and lacquered pagoda crest which is surmounted by open fret above an intricate open fretwork cornice. This piece may be ordered with hand-carved faux ivory bells as a decorative item on the upper fretwork.
